2007: ANGLESEY Click on a photo to see a larger version. All Denise and I could manage was a one day excursion which primarily was to try out the new engine on our boat. We left Derby at 5.30 am and arrived at the agreed launch site in Anglesey at 8 am. We were met by club members who said they had a rough trip the day before and looking at sea conditions it was going to be even worse that day. Remembering past trips to Anglesey, decided to go to another launch site which was the old coastguard slip. I asked if it was OK to launch there and then asked the club members to come over with the club boat to this side as it was almost flat calm, as you can see by the photographs. I only did one dive in the morning with a couple of metres visability, but had a reasonable dive. The afternoon trip - the visability wasn't so good according to other members. Denise and I decided that I would look after the club boat whilst members did a dive which enabled us all to leave at a reasonable time and also Denise was able to try out our boat and give the engine a good run.
