Diver Barracuda The dive boat Nudibranch

Menorca

This was to be our last holiday in Menorca but we felt that everything went really well and instead of booking through travel agents, did it on the Internet and saved £500.

We were staying at Cala N’ Bosch which is at the far end of the island because there is more variety of restaurants and places to drink at night (most important!!!)

We travelled down to Cala Galdana which is a 30 minute car ride from Cala N’Bosch and dived with a Spanish Dive Club there who we have dived with on a few occasions; in fact I did my 1,000th dive there! He seems to have more variety of boat dives including the Malakoff, which you can get 40 metres, however, I do not recommend going down to 40 metres. Staying at the top of the wreck which is 35 metres there is more to see and does not result in long decompression times as I know only too well having to do 25 minutes decompression! Denise also managed to do a wreck dive with me down to 26 metres on the Ocean Diver which is a wreck almost intact and is an excellent dive for photographers.

The other bonus is that the dive guide has a trolley to take all the gear along the sea front to where the boat is moored and it just means a walk down to the sea. All in all, a good holiday and we will be going back next year. It is cheap, quick and easy !
