Paul just checking the tubes on his new toy... Who said diving wasn't attractive? We sent our best triathlete to do a quick kit swap between boats Quick the tide's going out! Dale

After a traumatic journey, Dan, myself, Alan, Sharon and Hannah finally got to sleep in our caravan at about 3 in the morning. Subsequently, we opted to skip the Friday morning dive. When we finally managed to find our way to the beach carpark, Paul was busy playing with his new toy so hopefully hadn't missed us too much!

We launched Tornado from Broad Haven beach and headed to Stack Rocks - only a 5-10 minute ride. A dorsal fin appeared momentarily in front of us, but unfortunately that was all we saw of the dolphin or porpoise. It was very silty around the back of the rocks, but we saw quite a lot of urchins and dead men's fingers.

Day two was memorable if just for the comedy value. We went to Dale and might as well have been diving with our eyes closed. The first dive lasted 10 minutes, and when we went to the Behar in the afternoon, Dan, Alan and I didn't actually let go of the shot line. However, somehow Paul and Clive managed to get a good dive. The rest of us sat lazily in the sunshine and watched their bubbles slowly meander across the direction of the rip roaring current that was sweeping the wreck. They were sheltered behind large pieces of metal apparently and reported finding a conger too. I still think they must have headbutted it to see it though!

The Sunday was better as we returned to Broad Haven and Stack Rocks. The morning was quite a good dive; still silty but we saw a few crabs, spiny starfish and a small lobster. It was quite cold, but we managed to find the shot line again which is quite impressive for us! The afternoon was Stack Rocks again but this time at the far right edge. "Don't bother with the camera" Dan said, so I didn't and missed the most impressive dive I've had in Wales! It was a lot clearer and very much like the Farnes with big boulders and gullies. There were loads of dead men's fingers and I found a small conger hiding in a hole. We also saw a big wrasse hiding under a rock. Very enjoyable.

We decided to skip the diving on Easter Monday and take a leisurely trip home. Unfortunately there's no underwater photos, and hopefully Paul didn't mind us consistently running an hour behind him all weekend! Thanks for organising it Paul, and hopefully you enjoyed it as much as we did.
